New Tribe of people discoverd!

I am not sure if everyone understands the importance of this news headline or not, but I sure do. It has biblical significance; Jesus said that the His word would be preached to all nations. In fact, the King James version states it this way:

Matthew 28: 18-19 "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heave and earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."

Obviously there is a lot of work to be done. This tribe will have to be reached, which can take some time, patience and a lot of prayer. It may be quick though, you never know what God can accomplish, He surprises us each day with miracles.

This is just another step closer in finding lost people. It's another chance to reach the lost people with the gospel, no matter how long it may take. What Jesus says in Matthew 28 will come true.

I disagree we should leave these people alone. Who are we to tell them what religion to believe in? I am not atheist. I believe in god and all but this is exactly why I don't go to church. And for those of you who say, she does not know what she is talking about, let me tell you. I was raised Pentecostal, I’ve been to Methodist churches. I have even been to a catholic church. The list goes on. To my point, we should leave these people alone. They have the right to believe in what ever they wish. I know this is nerdy. But like star treck, we should follow the law of no interference. In fact, we could learn from these people. They have lived peacefully for thousands of years. Perhaps they may even be related to the Mian. So, who are we? In our arrogance to think that, we have the right to change their world. Perhaps in there own way they are more intelligent then the rest of the world. We could learn so much from these people not only about how they have lived undisturbed, but also about ourselves. What our ancestors might have been like. Or how people have evolved. Not to mention this is America and I believe we have freedom of religion. And while this tribe is not in America, it does beg the question. Have we learned nothing from our past? Has trying to force others to believe as we do ever worked? The crusades for instant, ya, that worked out real well for thousands. Or if we need a more recent example why don’t we talk to the Native Americans? I’m sure they love how we sent forth our missionaries to tell them what horrible people they were. And how the only way for them to be good is if they believed what we believe. I get a thank you note every year, thank you. I mean really people? Lets be realistic, in this day and age, we should have learned from our past and be more accepting of others beliefs. I know you want to spread the word, but here’s a suggestion. Why don’t we wait and if these new tribes men come down in exploration? Then we can preach to them. But until they take the first step, we should let them be.

Tena, I really appreciate that you posted a comment! The reason I created this blog was to express my thoughts, review bible scripture compared to current events, and even discuss politics and music.

I want to clear up a few things though, maybe it will help you understand me and this posting a little more.

First, I agree with you, organized religion is not the Way. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Denominations and organized religion were developed by mankind, and anything man-made is riddled with flaws. I have been a member of a Methodist church, and have tried several other churches as well. The one I attend now is a wonderful bible based church, that focuses just on what the bible says. Bottom line is this, I have accepted Jesus as my Savior. Attending a church is just a chance to worship with other followers of Jesus, what is important is how I live my life the other 6 days of the week.

That being said, my excitement over finding a lost tribe comes from having the chance to be Jesus to those people, not force something down their throats. Helping the people out, showing them love and having the chance to share the Gospel (remember, gospel means good news)with them is the source of my excitement. Bottom line is this, just like the old saying, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink, the same holds true with reaching out to lost people with the gospel. All you can do is plant seeds, it is up to each and every one of us to make the choice to worship Jesus or deny Him. Yes, they have the right to believe in what they want to, but is it right to deny them the right to worship Jesus if that is their choice? If the only thing holding them back is that no one has told them about Jesus, I would say that it is not fair to them to not give them that chance.

I also don't want to change their world or force my world on them. I personally let Jesus change my world, and it changed for the better, I was on a downhill spiral heading for death and destruction. I had many people praying for me and those prayers were answered in March, 2004. I saw the light and accepted Jesus as my Savior. I would like each and every person in this world to have the same chance, again to accept or deny Jesus.

You mention Crusades, but if you really look into history, the Crusades were not about Christians reaching out to people. It was about the Romans killing and slaughtering Christians and Jews to stop the spread of the gospel; hence; to dash people's hopes that there is an eternity in heaven. This is how communism and socialism work; they force you to depend on the government and do not want you to have hope that there is a loving God in heaven, wanting you to be with Him.

Also for your information, I am 1/4 Native American myself and first and foremost I am a Christian, then an American. Now, to address your point, the missionaries did not kill the Native Americans, nor did they force them off their lands. It was inspired by, again, a greedy government and military. The government is comprised of people and therefore is far from perfect and they make numerous mistakes, some that are just tragic. I wish those things never happened to the Native Americans. Just like I wish that blacks had not been forced into slavery. Lastly, what the world has done to the Jewish people over the past 6, 000 years is far more tragic than what any other race has undergone. They were held in slavery hundreds of years longer than Africans, slaughtered more frequently and in more mass numbers than anyone. Just during WWII Hitler and the Nazis murdered 6, 000,000 Jewish people.

I can't accept other people's beliefs in this day and age, and will not change mine. I can't compromise the Truth that I now know. That doesn't mean that I don't love and respect the person, but I just agree to disagree with any other belief that Jesus. Please don't misunderstand me, I have several family members and friends that have not accepted Jesus as their Savior. I pray for them daily and discuss Jesus when they want to, but I am not forceful. There's only one way to eternity in heaven, that's through Jesus Christ.

I would like you to please do me a favor, please read Matthew 24 and 28. Also, please read 2 Peter 2. I will be getting another posting out about 2 Peter 2 very soon. If you get the chance, please see the movie "The End of the Spear." It may shed light on how missionaries reached other tribes in South America, and with much success, but not without a lot of sacrifice. From this movie you will see that several tribes of people in South America were murderers, not only of other tribes but of their own tribes. Not all all peace loving people.

Thank you again, God bless you and you are also in my prayers. Please keep reading any of the postings in here, and never be afraid to post your thoughts or ask me questions. Your comments are important!
